Constantines - Blind Luck

Great song! I’ve never heard this track until now.  It was released on a CBC Radio 3 comp. If you love this band like I do, give it a listen.

Harbour Coats

The Harbour Coats perform “Thunder Bay” at the Tranzac in Toronto.

With the imminent disbanding of my all-time favorite Canadian act The Constantines, I’ve been looking into what the future holds for them.  A couple of the band members have been working on side projects like Baby Eagle for a while, but they’re pretty mediocre.

The real magic of the Cons lies with Bryan Webb, their brawny and enigmatic frontman. He’s been chipping away at a solo album for years under the name Harbour Coats.  He’s going on tour with Dan Mangan this fall and from my internet browsing his album is finished (read the comments), although no release date has been given.  Let us pray it sees the light of day soon.
